(Yes, it can work wonders as a natural nappy cream!) Here at Kokoso, we use only the finest organic coconuts from some of the oldest coconut trees in Thailand. They grow on our ethical, certified-organic farm and go through a state-of-the-art process developed by a university professor to make our multi-award winning coconut oil. What’s special about it? Kokoso Baby Coconut Oil comes from the first press of our lovely coconuts. The coconut matter that is left behind is never discarded. Eczema Balm These special coconuts are made into a coconut oil that is raw, virgin, cold-pressed and organic but also fresh-pressed. Even the parts of the coconut that can’t be eaten are used to produce coconut shell charcoal, coconut husk mattresses for local people and coconut peat to help the palm trees grow strong and healthy in the face of climate change. Lovingly made with moisturising organic coconut oil and delicately scented with 100% natural allergen-free coconut, these naturally nourishing products leave baby’s skin soft, fresh and smelling divine at bathtime. We choose not to dry out our coconuts for two main reasons. Firstly, because the drying time enables bacteria to grow on the fruit so it either needs to be washed with chlorine or treated with high temperatures to kill off any potential nasties (and many of those great natural nutrients along with them). In contrast, because our coconuts are pressed immediately they only ever need to be cleaned with purified water. Kokoso’s story began with a little called called Seren and her mum Lauren, on a quest to find a natural way to soothe her baby's sensitive, eczema-prone skin. This search led to Lauren developing the perfect organic coconut oil - a moisturising miracle for little ones.
